The former private secretary of the late Nelson Mandela responded to the news of Vusi Zuma’s death on social media.
Zelda La Grange took to social media to share her shock over the sudden passing of former South African president Jacob Zuma’s son, Vusi.
Times LIVE reported La Grange posted a tweet in response to the news of Vusi death, where she described him as a ‘beautiful child’.
“Oh my word. This is terrible. Vusi was a beautiful child. We saw him grow up. He went to Sacred Heart in Jhb. Just wondered about him the other day”, she wrote.
Meanwhile, opposition party leader Julius Malema also took to Twitter to share his condolences to the Zuma family.
“Condolences to the Zuma family on the passing away of their son Vusi, May his soul rest in perfect peace”, the EFF leader captioned his post.
The acting president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, also released a statement regarding the death of Vusi.
“We have learned with shock and sadness of the sudden passing of former President Zuma’s son, Mr Vusi Zuma, last night. I wish to convey, on behalf of government and all South Africans, our heartfelt condolences to former President Zuma, the Zuma family and relatives on the passing of their beloved son”, Ramaphosa said.
As Briefly.co.za reported earlier, the 25-year-old died on Sunday at the Milpark Hospital in Joburg. Vusi was reportedly hospitalized following a short illness, but the circumstances surrounding his death is yet to be disclosed.
