Social media users praised controversial dancer Zodwa Wabantu for her kindness after she made a generous donation to the mom of a disabled child.
Wabantu, who usually makes headlines for her lack of underwear and controversial remarks, showed fans a different side of her when she opened her heart, and wallet, to a mother in need.
As Briefly.co.za reported previously, the ‘vosho’ queen said she saw a video on Facebook of a mother, Gabisile Mhlongo, holding her disabled baby pleading for money.
The video touched her heart and she decided to track down the mom and give her R10 000.
According to Tshisa LIVE, Wabantu said she just wanted to help Mhlongo, adding she could have bought groceries but she decided to give her money instead.
“She cried and she couldn't believe that I had actually showed up. I was happy because I realised just how much I was helping her. I also hope that other people help her too, that money will help but more is needed", Wabantu said.
Her generous act scored her some serious brownie points with social media users, who praised her for her kindness.
However, some questioned her motives, accusing her of only helping the young mother to boost her image.
