It's a white winter in SA: Tweeps react to snowfall in certain parts of the country

The Western Cape and some other areas in South Africa received snow on Sunday and the early hours of Monday morning and tweeps are loving it.

Last week weather reports predicted a blanket of snow would be seen in the Western Cape and a few other parts of the country as Cape Town received rain.

And, the reports were not wrong. Several areas in the Western Cape, including the Ceres region, and some other parts of SA such as Underberg, received snow since Sunday night.

However, the South African reported some areas, especially Matroosberg, received much more than just a blanket snow.

Despite the piercing cold that comes with the snowy scenery, South Africans were enjoying the snow.

So, searched social media for some of the best photographs, videos and reactions to the white winter.

"There is nothing more magical then watching the snow falling especialy under the strret lights ....aweasome", Zivana Pranic wrote.
Sonja Wagenaar Schreuder commented on the video, "Fabulous. Gonna be a great cherry harvest this year. Thankful for a real wet winter."

However, where some parts received snow, others received a lot of rain. As reported previously, Cape Town experienced heavy rainfall and various areas were flooded as a result; which caused the City to remain on high alert.
