Mazibuko took to social media to call out fake news after tweeps took a photo of her and Fikile Mbalula and created a completely false version of events.

Mbaks shared a pic of himself with the ‘vibrant’ Mazibuko on Friday after she visited the ANC headquarters to raise awareness for her program.

However, tweeps soon ran with a completely false version of events which prompted a response from the former DA Parliament leader.

“Can people please stop posting fake news on social media?? Please love yourselves!”, she captioned a screenshot of a tweet, which welcomed her to the ANC.

Her tweet sparked a discussion on the social media platform on whether or not she should consider joining Ramaphosa’s party.

One tweep, Paul Motsepe, wrote if she ever considered joining the ANC it would be a step backwards for her.

However, another tweep thinks a move to the ANC would be wise for Mazibuko, who could then possibly become the first female president of South Africa.
