A young 15-year-old girl from Soweto, Johannesburg, has an amazing talent in tennis that has taken her places, including a tour to Wimbledon in the UK.

Amukelani Mokone has been playing tennis since 2010, Briefly.co.za learned. Her grandmother played a major role in identifying and developing her talent.

According to Beautiful News, the young talent has represent South Africa in several tournaments in the region and around the world.

In recognition of Amukelani's talent, Tennis South Africa invited her to be part of a tour to the UK, which included a visit to the Wimbledon tournament, in 2017.

However, she didn't have the non-refundable R20,000 fee for the trip, not to mention thousands more required to cover other costs.

She recalled:

The feeling of being at Wimbledon was the best. That's when I could see Venus Williams live. It was amazing how the community came together to support my dream.
