Young township girl, 26, is already a lecturer and master’s student

A 26-year-old lady is inspiring many South Africans on Twitter with her success at a young age despite hailing from a rural township. learned that Itumeleng Tsatsi already holds a coveted position as a lecturer in the Department of Occupational Therapy, University of the Free State.

According to Twitter user Sure Kamhunga, Itumeleng is also a master's student at Stellenbosch University, studying occupational health.

Itumeleng overcame the odds of growing up in the small township of Lebowakgomo, south of Polokwane, to be where she is now.

Tweeps congratulated her on her success. Many called her an inspiration, while some who hail from the same area took pride in her. See some of their reactions below.
