- Refilwe Modiselle is a South African model living with Albinism
- She enjoys a successful career and is a proud advocate for people living with Albinism
- She took to Twitter to get her say about comments made on a recent #DMF episode
Refilwe Modiselle got her say after a recent Date My Family episode. The model took to Twitter to express her disappointment at the fact that the #DMF crew had not corrected a lady when she kept referring to people living with albinism as “albino people”, reported ZAlebs.
Some Tweeps felt her criticisms were directed at the wrong people though.
This led to quite a debate about the issue.
And this convo led to more input from Refilwe herself.
Others stepped in and agreed.
And so the debate continued.
Another proud advocate for awareness of Albinism is Michelle Mosalakae. In a separate incident, Michelle took to her social media account to share an inspiring message in honour of the Albinism Awareness Day, reported Briefly.co.za.
"Today I stand proud of the woman I am and the woman I will still become because of AND in spite of my Albinism. #AlbinismAwarenessDay", she captioned a stunning photo of herself.
