Prophet Paseka "Mboro" Motsoeneng revealed yesterday that he will offer deserving youths around 2,000 scholarships worth R42,000.

The leader of the Incredible Happenings Ministry is partnering with iCollege on this initiative, Briefly.co.za gathered.

Speaking to Daily Sun at his church in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, Prophet Mboro said he made this move after the plight of South Africa's youths touched him.

He explained;

The plight of our youth touched me. I understand the youth are important. We are always preaching that the youth are our future, but we forget about the role the youth play right now in our present.

The initiative will benefit youths from all provinces and is part of Prophet Mboro's 50th birthday celebrations, dubbed #Mboro50 campaign.

iCollege's spokesperson, Neo Kuaho, described the partnership as a "match made in heaven."

The scholarships will cover registration fees as well as transport and accommodation costs for grades 10, 11, matric, and tertiary students.

One beneficiary, 20-year-old Xoliswa Ndlovu, said thanks to the initiative, she's now able to pursue her studies in nursing. She finished her matric in 2016.

Prophet Mboro has seemingly stepped up his charitable activities in recent times. Briefly.co.za reported that he donated R2,000 to the mother of the girl who was rescued from drowning recently.
