The final episode of Somizi Mhlongo’s reality show, Living the Dream with Somizi, aired on Thursday night and left fans dissatisfied with this season.
LTDWS was very popular in its first season and has been a firm fave on Thursday nights ever since. The show can be very lit with all the shade, savagery and occasional Engrish. Viewers enjoyed watching Somizi’s flamboyance and lack of chill as well as getting to know all his fabulous friends.
However, when the reality show wrapped up this week, some fans said that it had some great moments while others said that season 3 didn’t have “that thing”. People were also disappointed and felt that their patience was being tested when they realised that the wedding will be aired in the next season.
Tweeps took to social media to share their feelings with some fire memes:
Living the Dream with Somizi follows the fast-paced and glamorous life of entertainer extraordinaire, Somizi “Somgaga” Mhlongo. Speaking of his show with TVSA, Somizi said, “you can expect to see me living my dream in all its 'fabulosity', blood, sweat and bling. What you’ll see is exactly who I am; crazy, pacey, fun, fast, loud; but more than anything, it’s laughter and inspiration in one pot.”
Briefly.co.za learned that the series also features frequent appearances from his daughter Bahumi and businessman TT Mbha. Other cameo appearances have included Khanyi Mbau, Unathi, Mary Twala and others.
The last season of LTDWS included getting to know his fiancé Mohale Motaung, who viewers failed to warm up to. Fans noticed some awkwardness with Somizi’s bae, with many people saying they can’t bring themselves to trusting him. The episode which featured Bobo was a favourite for audiences and Somizi left Mzansi dripping in envy when he bought a house in Zimbali.
