When Kelly Khumalo announced that she had a new single, 'Jehova' in the works her fans have been dying to get more details and for the track to be released.
Her track will have a bit of a twist and will feature a rap verse from Jesse 'Flo Afta J' Suntele.
Khumalo explained that when she first saw Jesse competing in 2013 she knew then that she wanted to work with him.
"When I first heard Jesse... I was like 'yoh!', I'm not a hip-hop person but I have this thing about talent, I can spot talent anywhere and I have always wanted him to break into the music industry," explained Khumalo.
Briefly.co.za learned that when she first thought of the new track she already had Jesse in mind. Her producer gave her a list of rappers and she declined all of then and said that none of them felt right according to zalebs.co.za.
The song has been months in the making but Khumalo believes that the timing is perfect to release the song when her album is completed.
In addition to Jesse other artists such as Brenda Mtambo, Vusi Nova and a number of other acts will feature which according to her will make the album "full of soul".
Jesse was quite shocked when he found out that Kelly wanted to work with him on the song.
"We've had the idea of working together before.. I think, just at the time, maybe it wasn't the right time. I knew that if Kelly ever said 'let's work' that I would always say yes, and it was evident that she also saw something in me..."
