Former president Jacob Zuma has fired his long-time attorney Michael Hulley.
Hulley admitted to News24 that Zuma ended their mandate almost three weeks ago.
Apparently, Zuma did not give Hulley a reason for ending his services. Hulley has been legally supporting the former president for more than 10 years.
It was believed that Hulley is one of Zuma closest and most trusted friends.
Hulley was by Zuma's side during his 2006 sexual assault trial. Zuma was found not guilty.
Zuma will be appearing in court on the 27th of July on 16 different charges that include corruption and racketeering.
His new legal team will be introduced at this court appearance.
