Emtee collapsed: Accusations of drugs and alcohol got him heated

Emtee collapsed during his performance on Sunday at the Durban July wrap-up party. His fans were left in complete shock.

He was on stage in KwaMashu when the incident took place. At the start of his performance, Emtee looked in perfect health until he started showing signs of limited mobility and fatigue, reported Times Live.

It was that moment when he started to sway, that the crowd became alert. Emtee did not stop straight away; he managed to get a hold of his feet after he fell backwards and carried on for a bit before he was escorted off stage.

Briefly.co.za learnt that security had to support him whilst escorting him from the venue as he could not walk on his own. Fans and by standers, who witnessed this, were extremely concerned.

Emtee has said that he is doing fine and there is no need for concern. He claims that it was probably ‘a wire’ that made him fall, but there has been no official reason given for is collapse.

There have been alleged accusations that the fall was caused due to drugs and alcohol, but Emtee says he is not fazed by what people may say.

He has expressed his anger towards celebrities who have slammed him, saying that they do not know him.

Emtee did state that he has recently lost a dear aunt and her death has had an effect on him, but he claims to be in good physical and mental health and does not see a reason to seek medical attention.
