Nqobile Ndlovu is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Nobuhle Zungu in the SABC 1 drama series Ingozi. She later starred as a member of the choir in Duma Ndlovu's SABC 1 soap opera Uzalo; and in his stage production The Game, set in a female prison.
Briefly.co.za learned that while trying to break into the industry, the KwaZulu-Natal born entertainer had to keep her many travels to Joburg for auditions a secret from her mom. During a interview with News 365, the actress revealed, “My mom thought I was attending my university classes, but I was skipping some for auditioning, as she wanted me to become a scientist. I was doing chemical engineering. I missed some classes for Uzalo auditions in Durban and I don’t regret it because that marked the beginning of my journey as an actress.”
Her role on Uzalo was canned in the first season. When she heard of a role of a young woman on Ingozi, she didn't hesitate to go for auditions. It was only after she got the role as Nobuhle, after a few months of auditions, that she told her mom what she wanted to do with her life.
