Cyril Ramaphosa succeeded Jacob Zuma to become the new president of South Africa, but he is not the only one in his family who is powerful.

His brother-in-law, Patrice Motsepe is one of the richest men in South Africa- he owns mines, soccer teams and he recently managed to book Jay Z and Beyonce in SA.

As Briefly.co.za reported previously, Motsepe was dubbed a national hero after he managed to get Lionel Messi, Jay Z and Beyonce in one year.

"Brother-in-law owns mines, Ramaphosa puts #MiningCharter on hold. Sister-in-law owns shares in Energy sector, #Ramaohosa appoints her husband as Energy minister to sign IPP deals. Ramaphosa owns a stake in Engen, brother-in-law says Govt won't suspend fuel levy. #ThumaMina," the post read.

So, we gathered five comments from social media users who agreed that the president and his family is running things in the country.
