The 22-year-old Khayelitsha mom who gave birth to quadruplets at Tygerberg hospital got emotional after she found out she would be receiving R10 000 a month to help take care of her babies.
KFM and LottoStar brought Inga Mafenuka to tears when they told her she would be receiving R10k a month for the next year to help support her babies.
According to Eyewitness News, an emotional Mafenuka received the good news on Thursday morning’s KFM breakfast show.
As Briefly.co.za reported previously, Mafenuka’s grandmother said God blessed them with the four new babies, but she added she was worried about how they would take care of them.
The gogo, Luleka, said she was unemployed and her granddaughter was still a student. She added the father of the children also does not have a permanent job.
Needless to say, the R10k a month is a welcomed gift for Mafenuka and her two girls Bungcwele and Bunono, and two boys, Bubele and Buchule.
Mafenuka gave birth to her quadruplets last week Friday, at the Tygerberg Hospital. The delivery received widespread media coverage since it was the first one of its kind in the past 10-years at the hospital.
