- Mosiuoa Lekota, leader of Congress of the People (Cope), was in tears during a recent interview
- Lekota talked about the direction South Africa has taken under the current leadership
Lekota found it hard to keep his emotions in check as he discussed the ways he feels the leadership of the ANC has been abusing South Africans.
The COPE leader reflected on an ANC that wanted to bring peace to all of South Africa when he could barely keep back the tears.
South Africans took to social media to show their support for Lekota. While there were people who thought his tears were fake, many tweeps respected what they called "passion".
@matlakearona - As should each and every TRUE COMRADE of the ONCE GLORIOUS MOVEMENT. Our Ancestors are in deep turmoil...we became what we RESISTED.
@Goldielocks79 - The direction South Africa is heading for is really cry worthy. This man is passionate about SA.
