- Advocate Thuli Madonsela slammed the EFF for their radical approach to land reform
- Madonsela feels they are giving people the idea that they can break the law if it suits them
- She added that people can take the lawless stance on other matter as well, causing chaos
South Africa's former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela does not approve of the Economic Freedom Fighters' approach to land reform.
Madonsela says the EFF is actively encouraging South Africans to act lawlessly by inciting them to just take the land they desire.
Leader of the EFF, Julius Malema, has gotten himself into legal hot water when he was accused of inciting illegal land invasions by telling South Africans to occupy the land they want.
Madonsela was speaking at a South African Local Government Association seminar when she voiced her opinion on the matter of land reform.
She says the EFF doesn't realise they are making people think the law is irrelevant. She added that people could start ignoring other laws as well.
The South African reports that Madonsela agrees that land reform must happen, but not by ignoring the country's law.
