Superstitious people often dread Friday the 13th, but one man would forever remember the day as one of the luckiest in his life.
On Friday morning, emergency services found a man trapped in his car after he plunged off a cliff on Victoria Road in Camps Bay.
“ER24 paramedics‚ along with Metro Rescue and Life Healthcare‚ arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle at the bottom of a small cliff lying on its side," ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.
Meiring added they found the man stuck in his car and they had to cut him out using specialised equipment.
TimesLIVE reported getting the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, out of the car took rescue services 45 minutes.
However, one would believe the man suffered serious injuries- but Briefly.co.za learned, he only had minor injuries which medical staff treated at the New Somerset Hospital.
Social media users took to Twitter to share their opinions on what they thought about the man surviving such a horrible crash.
Berri Martin wrote, "That driver should be thankful to be alive because some people are not so lucky."
One tweep was just interested in the type of car the man drove.
