Caster Semenya proves critics wrong and sets new career-best time

Caster Semenya showed that she is still a prime contender when she set a new career best time on Friday night when she competed at the Diamond League meeting in Rabat, Morocco.

She left the opposition in the dust in the 1000 metres. Her last race in in Lausanne, Switzerland saw her finish sixth in the 1500m due to a slight error which saw her lose pace.

In Rabat she made sure she was flawless and eclipsed her own personal best of 2:35.43 which she set in Pretoria earlier in 2018.

Briefly.co.za learend that she finished with time to spare at 2 min 31.01 secs as the second place CeAir Brown finsihed at 2:35.85 and third place Kaela Edwards at 2:35.13 according to enca.com.

Semenya will also compete in London with Team SA for the 8-nation World Cup Athletics this Weekend.
