There are a lot of youths out there making a living by creating or inventing their own thing from skills acquired through training or God's given talent.
A talented man has become a hot topic on social media after photos of his creative works surfaced. The Almajiri man, who is based in Maiduguri, Borno state, Nigeria, makes bicycles for a living.
The young man, identified simply as Umar, manufactures bicycles in large numbers and sells them along Chad basin road in Maiduguri, Briefly.co.za learned.
A Facebook user identified as Hussaini Ali Kura, who was impressed by the man's creations, shared photos of his works on his page.
In his post, he said:
Bicycle design and manufactured in Maiduguri by an almajiri name umar, along Chad basin road. What a talented guy.
Almajiri is a system of Islamic education practiced in the Northern Nigeria. The word Almajiri as derived from an Arabic known as Al-Muhajirun. AL-Muhajirun means a person who left home to search for Islamic knowledge.
