Earlier this year Motsepe managed to bring the Barcelona soccer team to South Africa, which saw football superstar Lionel Messi gracing fans with his presence.

Then he made the South African Beyhive's dreams come true by convincing Beyonce and her hubby Jay Z to perform in the country later this year.

TimesLIVE reported on Tuesday Motsepe finally convinced Twitter he was the unofficial president of South Africa after an impressive speech during the 16th annual Nelson Mandela Lecture.

So, searched the Twitter streets to find the best tweets, which stated Motsepe is our new head of state.

Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux said on Twitter: "Mr Patrice Motsepe is the unofficial President of South Africa. If you don’t believe me go & argue with your ancestors #NMAL2018 #MandelaLecture."
Thamsanqa Mayekiso, who goes by the Twitter handle @TMayekiso, wrote: "Patrice Motsepe is actually the president of South Africa from what I've seen lately."
Another tweep added, "Patrice Motsepe is doing waayy more than what the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation has ever done for SA. What a man."

However, some tweeps said Ramaphosa is the president and Motsepe is always with him, which makes him South Africa's first lady.
