Disgruntled citizens decided to shack up in front of the Western Cape Premier's house to show how they feel.
Helen Zille woke up to the noise of protesters erecting a shack in front of her home on Wednesday morning.
The South African reports the citizens gathered in front of Zille's home to build the shack to raise awareness on housing issues.
The citizens protested to show their unhappiness with how the problems with land and housing are being handled in the province.
They are also unhappy about the terrible services they are getting. Some of the protesters claimed they do not even have water or sanitation.
Briefly.co.za learned that Zille was thrown with rocks during an earlier incident involving protesters.
There has been a rise in protests over housing issues in the Western Cape in the last months.
