Errol Velile Present, former ANC employee, was arrested for his alleged involvement in a Soweto cash-in-transit heist.
However, his wife remains adamant that he is innocent and the police should let him go.
TimesLIVE reports the depressed wife said that she is very shocked by her husband's arrest. She is finding it hard to cope with the situation.
She claims to have lost weight since Present's arrest and can't bring herself to eat. She added that she can't see Present to ask him what is going on.
According to Present's wife, his lawyer informed her that there was an identity parade but the witnesses did not point him out.
This proves to Present's wife that her husband is innocent and she feels the police should let him go.
Briefly.co.za learned that Police Minister Bheki Cele confirmed that Present was involved in at least 3 cash-in-transit heists.
According to an earlier report by Briefly.co.za, Present has lost his job as employee of the African National Congress when came to light he could have a lot to do with some of CIT heists in Soweto.
Briefly.co.za also reported on company and police records that have emerged linking Present to a R97 million ‘farms for friends’ scandal which also involves South Africa's former minister of land reform Gugile Nkwinti.
