Social media user @MzontsunduFaku posted images on Twitter, which showed hilarious ribbing cutting ceremonies in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

"Looking at these three pictures from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya... One can conclude that Africa is not going anywhere in terms of development with the current caliber of politicians," @MzontsunduFaku captioned the images.

The photos showed government officials cutting ribbons to mark the official openings of an outhouse to a dumpster.

Needless to say the post gathered a lot of reactions on Twitter from tweeps who could not believe government funds were being squandered on such ridiculous ribbon cutting ceremonies.
