Social media users finally named the relationship between the South African president Cyril Ramaphosa and Patrice Motsepe- the Ramatsepes.
Ramaphosa and his brother-in-law, billionaire Patrice Motsepe, have been spotted together a lot lately and it led to tweeps naming them the Ramatsepes, which kind of reminds us of the Zuptas (Zuma and the Gutpas).
The Citizen reported Ramatsepes originated after the mining magnate was photographed with the South African head of state while on a business trip to the Middle East.
As Briefly.co.za reported previously, South Africans had questions after photos surfaced online which showed Ramaphosa and his two brothers-in-law, Motsepe and Jeff Radebe meeting with investors in the Middle East.
This has sparked concerns that the president's relationship to Motsepe might be a conflict of interest.
It led to tweeps dubbing Ramaphosa and his brother-in-law the Ramastepes.
Social media user Evaluating Sphithiphithi wrote, "The Republic of Ramatsepe!!! We need to work on a new national anthem. #MandelaLecture."
As Briefly.co.za reported previously, social media users were convinced Ramaphosa and his family were running the country behind the scenes.
Some tweeps even went as far as to say Motsepe is the unofficial president of the South Africa.
