The DA has called for the army to be deployed into crime ridden areas. In a recent tweet they gave areas they feel the army could assist with.

These included:

  1. Assisting with blockades during SAPS blockades
  2. Escorting ambulances and other state service providers
  3. Protecting taxi ranks, railways and bus stations
  4. Securing school routes and aftercares
  5. Securing clinics and social development offices
