Economic Freedom Fighters’ leader Julius Malema became Black Twitter’s hero after he committed to build a house for a lady, who lives with a disability.
Taking to its official Twitter page, the EFF shared a couple of posts which showed Juju spending some time with a South African lady who is in desperate need of some help.
Briefly.co.za learned Pumelela Kati is wheelchair bound and home makes it difficult to move around. Staying true to his promise of helping out those in need, Malema visited Kati and committed to building her a house that would accommodate her disability.
“CIC @Julius_S_Malema visited the home of Pumelela Kati as per his commitment yesterday. The EFF will build Phumelela a home that will accommodate her disability needs #EFFTurns5,” the first post read.
Needless to say, the EFF’s posts gathered a huge reaction on Twitter and Juju soon became the social media platform’s hero.
Tweeps applauded Malema for taking the time to properly listen to Kati and her family, and for never letting those in need down.
Social media user @miyelani_mabasa wrote, “What I like most about this clip is,CIC is not in the hurry to go anywhere.spend time with your people and understand their situations.”
