Danny Diliberto, the manager of Doppio Zero at St George's Mall in Cape Town, did not chase away a homeless man who begged for food at the restaurant recently.
Instead, he and his staff started a soup kitchen to feed the homeless three times a week, Briefly.co.za learned.
According to a Facebook post by Pesto Princess, the soup kitchen distributes bowls of soup and bread to the homeless in Cape Town.
Danny and his kitchen staff named the initiative "Ladies of Love." Pesto Princess, another restaurant, now donates a portion of sales of its popular pesto soup to the initiative.
Ladies of Love has also attracted dozens of volunteers to its soup kitchens, proving that it's inspiring more and more people.
Commenters praised Danny, Ladies of Love, and Pesto Princess for their wonderful initiative. Some even stepped forward to volunteer. See some of their reactions below.
