The pending transfer of Madagascar international Andriamirado Andrianarimanana who is better known as simply Dax looks set to conclude in the coming days. The lengthy process has reportedly turned nasty with the player’s former club reportedly withholding his passport and allegedly making threats against Dax.

Fosa Juniors have disputed Kaizer Chiefs signing of Dax since the start and have claimed to have a watertight contract with the player. Dax, on the other hand, has disputed this claim and insisted that he is a free agent.

Dax has applied for a new passport and visa and is expected to be issued with these documents by the end of the week which will enable him to fly to South Africa and complete his transfer to Kaizer Chiefs.

Briefly.co.za gathered that this course of action will force Fosa Juniors to prove to FIFA’s Player Status Committee that it has a valid contract with Dax.

TimesLive.co.za reported that Kaizer Chiefs made a compensation offer to Forsa Juniors with the hope of ending the protracted and ugly dispute. The club has refused all offers and said it had an ironclad agreement with the player which is valid until 2020.

Dax has repeatedly stated that he has never signed an agreement with Forsa Juniors and assured Kaizer Chiefs that his former club’s claims are baseless.

Dax also claims the Madagascar league does not count as a professional level competition and that his move should be treated as an amateur move.

Chiefs were impressed with Dax during the COSAFA Cup which took place in South Africa recently and jumped at the opportunity to sign him.

The party’s signed a pre-agreement during the tournament but Forsa Juniors later claimed this agreement violated its agreement with Dax because no transfer offer had been made.
