The popular model and actress made it known that she was going to embark on a fact-finding expedition to the Palestinian Territories back in June.

Briefly.co.za learnt that there were posts that appeared on social media where she expressed pro-Israel views, and called Gaza a “shithole”.

“Israel authorities control access to Palestine and blocked her on the orders of Israel’s Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and the recommendation of Israel’s Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan,” the statement reads.

Naidoo was interrogated at the Israel-Jordan border. She was apparently warned by Israel prior to her leaving South Africa that she would not be allowed to enter.

It was said by the BDS, that Naidoo is not the only one from South Africa to be barred from entering Palestine.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Minister Blade Nzimande have endured the same experience.
