Isaac Boshomane, a car mechanic based in Soshanguve in Pretoria, is keen to create employment opportunities for young people in his community.

Briefly.co.za learned that he runs his own business, Kgabo Cars. When he noticed that unemployment in his area was rising, he decided to start a training centre as well.

According to Beautiful News, Boshomane provides theoretical and practical training to youths. This helps them qualify as mechanics and empowers them to get jobs.

The visionary mechanic also teaches the youths leadership skills, self-awareness, and customer service.

He is especially keen to empower young women to enter and succeed in the male-dominated motor services industry.

He praised them for their exceptional skills and for being fast learners, "These women are the best mechanics I have ever seen."

Boshomane's mission is also to promote equality in the workshop:

Kgabo Cars has broken the barrier and women are able to pursue their careers in a traditionally men's world.

He also had words of encouragement and inspiration for others:

When you're doing it for yourself, indirectly you're doing it for the country. Where you come from does not determine where you're going.
