Comedian Pastor Mjosty is one step closer to becoming the successful actor he dreams of being, but he still has a long way to go.
The Daily Sun reported Mjosty, who is best known for his hilarious Kwaito Church Service film series, landed a small role on SABC one’s Uzalo, where he plays the neighbor of Pastor Mdletshe.
According to Mjosty, it did not matter to him how small the role was, adding every gig he lands will get him closer to the big dream.
Briefly.co.za learned Mjosty always wanted a part on Uzalo, especially because it is filmed in his home province, KwaZulu-Natal.
“It is always exciting to be part of a production that is created at home. I feel at home on the set and my fellow cast members are very supportive,” he said.
Mjosty, who made his first appearance on the show last week, added he collaborated with a lot of his fellow Uzalo cast members before as well. However, his road to success has been a bumpy one thus far.
According to the comedian, he shot for fame in countless auditions for major roles but he failed to land his big break.
He said the tough competition in the industry was sad, but added he enjoys the challenge.
