Former Bafana Bafana international and Platinum Stars Captain Vuyo Mere (34) has joined Bidvest Wits according to reports from Kickoff.com Mere has penned a one year deal to 30 June 2019 and becomes the second signing of the Johannesburg side after they also snapped up Simon Murray from the Scottish League.
The humble Mere paid tribute to Wits coach Gavin Hunt for showing faith in him after undergoing trials at the club. Mere was excited with the move and has the option to extend the deal by a further one year with the club. According to Soccer Laduma the defender feels he has a lot to offer and can play on for years to come like other seasoned stars such as Siyabonga Nomvete and Mabhuti Khenyeza.
