- Despite living with HIV, Zikhona is bravely giving back to the community
- She is an HIV activist and motivational speaker
- Part of her work involves teaching young women to pursue their goals and stick to their values
Zikhona Dingile, a 26-year-old HIV activist from Cape Town, is bravely taking her message of living positively to young women.
As Briefly.co.za previously reported, she is on a mission to tackle stigma and discrimination through her social media campaign.
Zikhona shared a photo of herself with young women recently, revealing that she was teaching them to pursue their goals and stick to their values.
She does this through motivational speaking. In a reply to another tweet, the young activist said she is working with 35 young adults who were born with HIV.
Zikhona's main message is that HIV should not define those who are living with it. She wants people to be active communicators in order to promote acceptance and support.
She therefore conducts her campaign through the mantra "Let It Not Define You; Together We can Make a Change."
