Thishiwe Ziqubu has been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years. She felt this indescribable need to own stories that were told in productions and not to only work for the people who did.

She made this dream into a reality when her first story aired last week. It is called the Emoyeni series, Nsanguluko.

Thishiwe highlighted that she has been working in the industry for 12 years now and that she did not want to turn out like the others who are still working for white bosses, reported Times Live. She wanted to be the boss and not work at the benefit of the white man.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the making of Emoyeni has brought her a lot of pride and has been a way for her to make her own legacy.

No money was made from this, but she said that she has learnt invaluable lessons from it. Having her name on it was the thing that was most important to her and she did it.

Being an actress herself, Thishiwe paid a lot of attention to the roles and this was the key to the successful outcome. Mzansi is extremely proud and impressed.

Always being a woman of strong belief, she feels that this is her calling and God given right.

She says that she will not stop acting completely as it was her first love, but she is putting her energy into this dream for now. Telling a story that makes a difference, is where she is at.
