It was a historical moment when Dr Judy Dlamini was appointed as the new Chancellor of Wits University. She is the first black female to achieve this at the university.
Dr Dlamini will officially start her new appointment at the University of the Witwatersrand on the 1st of December. She takes over from Justice Dikgang Moseneke.
The new Chancellor accepted her appointment most graciously, according to a report by Destiny Connect.
Dr Dlamini said it is a pleasure and an honour for her to be elected as Chancellor. She hailed the university as one Africa's most prestigious universities.
South Africans were proud and happy to welcome Dr Dlamini to the family of Wits University.
Wits University's new Chancellor is an accomplished doctor, author and businesswoman to name but a few of her achievements.
Dr Dlamini has been applauded for her contribution to humanity and society. She is the founder of the Mbekani Group and has experience in the economic world.
Briefly.co.za gathered the Chancellor obtained her Doctorate in Business Leadership and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate from Stanford University.
Dr Dlamini and her gracious personality is an inspiration to all the black young women of South Africa.
