The role as Japan ambassador suits Mampho perfectly because she's experienced the Japanese culture first-hand. Mampho studied in Japan and has knowledge of the country and its colourful culture.

It was officially announced on the 27th of July that Mampho has been chosen as ambassador and the South African beauty is thrilled.

She was welcomed as brand ambassador by the Ambassador of Japan, Shigeyuki Hiroki in his home in Pretoria.

She sees it as an opportunity to introduce South Africans to the wonderfully different world she thinks Japan is.

Mampho said it is an honour to be able to represent the Japanese culture in South Africa, according to a report by ZAlebs.

Japanese culture is filled with intrigue and mysteries of age old traditions. The art form in their expressions of fashion, motion pictures, and language is something I would love all South Africans to embrace.
