On Wednesday, South Africans were introduced to a grade 12 learner, who uses Twitter to help other people.
Twitter account @SheSouthAfrica shared the story of matric pupil @akreana_, who helps others by lending an ear.
According to the post, the young woman gives out free therapy on Twitter because she knows how important it is for someone to talk to without being judged.
“Meet @akreana_, a grade 12 learner who offers free therapy sessions on Twitter. What motivates her is knowing that people go through a lot & just need someone to talk to, vent to or just need advice. She knows that people often prefer a stranger becoz of the fear of being judged,” the post read.
Briefly.co.za learned the young Twitter theraphist even has some solid advice to other women.
“You don’t need to change who you are to try to fit in or make people accept you, you were born to stand out. Also, bringing down another woman is a girl’s practice, real women want to see other women win,” she said.
Tweeps were inspired by the young woman’s willingness to help others, even if it is just through listening to them vent.
Social media user @tookey_lc commented, “you lit it feels good too see someone care about other people out there people a suffering from alot of issues.”
