Man spends his birthday alone because he cheated on his wife

A Cape Town man took to Twitter recently to confess that he spent his birthday alone because he cheated on his wife.

Japhta Sesotlo said that as a result of his cheating, his wife left him and took their kids along, Briefly.co.za learned.

In addition, he said his father passed away "less than a year ago" and his friends "just vanished."

Japhta seemingly took comfort in the fact that God still loves him. Using the hashtag #DepressionIsReal, he suggested that he's going through a hard time emotionally.

His followers wished him a happy birthday and advised him to seek help for his depression. See their reactions below.
