Did the ANC take their land expropriation decision based on elections in 2019?

President Ramaphosa's announcement that the ANC will be making changes to the Constitution has South Africans in a state and they shared their opinions on social media.

While there are those who applaud the decision - like the EFF - majority of South Africans question if it is a sound decision.

The Democratic Alliance and AfriForum were very vocal about their opinions on President Ramaphosa's decision - they don't like it, as reported by Briefly.co.za.

Ordinary South Africans took to social media to discuss the issue. Twitter user @Unathi_Kwaza said she understands why the ANC wants to amend the Constitution - to fool voters. This led to other tweeps sharing their opinions.

South Africans fear that people aren't aware of what will happen during and after land expropriation.

Some tweeps feel the announcement was made to distract South Africans from the unemployment statistics.
