Ankle injury stalls Khuzwayo's Pirates debut

- New Pirates goal keeper Brilliant Khuzwayo is set to under a minor procedure on his ankle and will means the opening games of the new season

-The popular goalie will be hoping to be fully fit soon anf claim a starting berth as Pirates challenge for honours on all fronts.

Orlando Pirates fans will have to wait a little longer before they can see their new goal keeper in action. The newly signed goal minder who endured a frustrating six years at Kaizer Chiefs playing second fiddle to national team first choice Itumeleng Khune will be finally hoping to ,make the big break through. Khuzwayo expressed his desire to shine for Amabhakaniya and gathered that he has a strong desire to see the Bucs shine in the CAF Champions League. The goal keeper who has represented Bafana Bafana before will miss crucial games for his new club including the MTN8 clash against SuperSport United.

Pirates will be hoping Khuzwayo will be fit soon as they aim to challenge in all knockout competitions particularly the Champions League were they chase continental glory after last tasting it in 1995. The new goalie is optimistic they have a strong squad to mount serious challenge.

According to the Orlando Pirates website the procedure is to ensure that Khuzwayo enjoys an injury free season. The goal keeper will compete with the club's goalies Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Wayne Sandilands.
