Pathon began his love relationship with golf at the surprisingly tender age of just 18 months. According to his mother Tiara Pathon on the website of Capetalk, "He started crawling on the golf course. Literally." Young Traigh Pathon started competing at the world stage in 2017 at the San Lameer Golf Estate where he came a credible 3rd in his age group. Briefly.co.za learnt that the pint sized Traigh scored further successes at JHB Country club in February of this year which earned him the right to compete in several tournaments among them the World Junior Challenge.
The golfing wonder boy is to take part in three key tournaments beginning this month when he travels for the USA Kids World Golf Championship where he is expected to pit his swing against the best kids in the business. His dad and caddie David van Schalkwyk is appealing to South African to help make the dream possible by contributing to help Traigh Pathon not only achieve his dream but to continue to put South Africa on the golfing map.
