Body positivity activist wants women to be confident in their bodies

A gorgeous body positivity activist is on a mission to promote self-confidence among women regardless of their skin complexion or body sizes.

@SheSouthAfrica, a Twitter page dedicated to telling inspiring women stories, shared @NotYetUhuru_'s activism recently.

The Cape Town-based activist is a journalism graduate who is currently pursuing a BTech degree in public relations, Briefly.co.za learned. She's also a social media marketer.

@NotYetUhuru_ is of the view that it's important for women to be confident in their skin or body size because their image can make or break them.

She advised her fellow women, "Remember to put yourself first and remember to take care of yourself always."

Social media has become a powerful platform for body positivity campaigners in South Africa and around the world.

Recently, Briefly.co.za reported how one campaigner, Thick Leeyonce, captured the attention of the world with her response to a body-shamer.
