This has left South Africa in show and a sour taste in most people’s mouths. The thought of letting a convicted rapist perform, is beyond the thought of the public.

Famously known for his hit ‘Sweety My Baby’, Sipho was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the rape of a teenage girl, reported eNCA.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Sipho is currently out on bail and thus why he is able to perform at the event. He is appealing his sentence at the same time.

The CEO of the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards said that he is performing as he owes them money and this is a way to pay it back.

Surely Kwaito and House stars in Mzansi will not stand for a convicted rapist performing at an event which represents them? Time will tell what the majority feel about this decision.
