Taking to social media, South Africans have announced they are ready for the expropriation of land without compensation.
With President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement on land reform still fresh in people’s minds, tweeps have taken to the social media platform to state they are ready for the big change.
Social media user Mzu, or @IamMzuzu, showed on Twitter he was ready to start farming commercially.
Mzu showed off the progress he already made before the ANC announced it would amend the constitution to expropriate land without compensation.
Briefly.co.za learned his post inspired other tweeps, who also stated they were ready to get the land back.
Social media user @Tydo12 wrote, “This makes more sense (commercial land) .. unlike some who wants land for zozo n they expect a free house and social grant .. come month end their buying alcohol with money. Well done sir u deserve.”
Meanwhile, News24 reported on Sunday that the ANC has given a greenlight to test out section 25 of the Constitution.
Following a two-day NEC meeting, the ruling party announced it has targeted 139 farms across SA which would be expropriated without compensation.
