- The t-shirts are inspiring tweeps to also speak out against women abuse
A young activist is taking a bold stand against gender-based violence through her powerful t-shirt messages.
Kamogelo Legodly designs t-shirts and prints the messages on them, Briefly.co.za gathered. She then sells the t-shirts to those who are interested.
Drawing from the recent Total Shutdown women's march, one of the messages reads, "My body shouldn't be a crime scene."
A Twitter user, @cheria_rry, purchased one of the t-shirts and shared photos of herself wearing it. Her tweet has gone viral, racking up over 600 retweets and 3,000 likes so far.
Tweeps echoed the powerful messages and commended the initiative.
Many expressed interest in buying the t-shirts.
The t-shirts also inspired words of wisdom from a tweep.
Briefly.co.za recently covered how thousands of women across South Africa participated in the #TotalShutdown protest against gender-based violence.
