The great thing about so many South African television series is how relatable they are in real life.
For example, a lot of people look forward to the day they get to retire from work and live a simpler, stress-free life.
Recently on Skeem Saam, MaNtuli decided it was time to retire and live the remainder of her life on her pension.
Her excitement for finally being able to retire and relax warmed Skeem Saam fans’ hearts and many took to social media to be happy with her.
Social media user @Fusy_Oles wrote, “I have never been this happy for Mantuli #SkeemSaam.”
Briefly.co.za learned MaNtuli, who worked for a measly R500 a week, retired with a R400k pension- and one tweep said she would have done the same thing.
However, while fans were happy to see MaNtuli getting the large sum of money, TshisaLIVE reported tweeps feared her excessive spending would lead to her pension drying up- leaving her with dololo.
Kgotso_theo commented, “400K will vanish, I foresee unneeded things being bought over the excitement of fat bank balance.”
Social media user @LigegeSpeaks added, “Worse part: MaNtuli will not invest the pension money or at least start something that'll generate her a monthly income but rather she'll spend it and be left w NOTHING! #SkeemSaam.”
One tweep added that MaNtuli should work wisely with the money and start her own company.
