A Cape Town-based HIV activist recently took time off from her social media campaigns to pay a heartfelt tribute to her best friend.
Writing on Twitter Zikhona Dingile paid tribute to her bestie, Sinazo Andries, for always being there for her since they first met five years ago.
As Briefly.co.za previously reported, Zikhona is keen to reduce stigma and discrimination facing HIV-positive people in South Africa.
In her tribute, she recalled how Sinazo gave her R500 to buy three pairs of jeans despite the fact that they had just met.
Sinazo made the gesture because she didn't want Zikhona to feel embarrassed among other first-year students at university.
Zikhona felt the need to celebrate their friendship in the women's month, adding that her friend taught her love and humanity. She thanked Sinazo for being in her life.
In turn, Sinazo described Zikhona as a bubbly, kind and caring personality.
The tribute warmed the hearts of many tweeps, who commended Sinazo and urged the two to keep their friendship alive.
