Inga Mafenuka, the 22-year-old Khayelitsha mother who gave birth to quadruplets in July, got honoured with an awesome baby shower on 8 August.
KFM 94.5 and Clicks SA teamed up to host the baby shower, Briefly.co.za gathered.
KFM morning presenters styled themselves as honorary uncles and aunts during the special occasion. They presented Inga several gifts.
As Briefly.co.za earlier reported, Inga became the talk of South Africa when she delivered her four babies at Tygerberg Hospital in July.
KFM and LottoStar immediately pledged R10,000 per month for the next year to help Inga care for her rare brood.
Speaking to Eyewitness News, the proud mom said her babies are still in hospital but are doing just fine:
I’m feeling much better [and] grateful. The babies are growing so I’m less stressed.
She thanked well-wishers for the tremendous amount of support she has received so far. According to experts, chances of having naturally conceived quadruplet pregnancies are one in 512,000.
