Isibaya actor, Dumisani Dlamini's daughter is taking US R&B scene by storm

Dumisani Dlamini’s daughter has been taking the American music scene by storm.

The actor, who is best known for his role as Mbodla on ‘Isibaya’, moved to the USA to act in a stage adaptation of Sarafina! for 15 years. learned that during the show’s running time, Dumisani met and married American born Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer. The couple had a son and a daughter together.

Although he started a family in the states, Dumisani moved back to South Africa because he felt more at home.

He did initially plan for his family to join him but unfortunately the couple split, however he did maintain a close relationship with his children.

Amala Zandile Dlamini, now 22 years old, has begun a career in music and goes by the stage name of Dojo Cat.

The artist mainly makes R&B, pop and alternative music but she is also known for her eclectic fashion sense and candy-coloured hair.

ZAlebs reported that Dlamini is very proud of his daughter and the success she has so far. He also pointed out that his daughter has also performed with rapping heavyweight Nicki Minaj.

Doja Cat has just recently released her highly anticipated debut album, under her real name ‘Amala’.

She has released an EP in 2013 which received much attention and her career has sky-rocket since.

Dumisani's daughter now lives in Los Angeles so that she can pursue her dream and to also look into becoming a music producer.

She currently has a single out, entitled 'Moo', which has been extremely popular on social media.
